And… We’re Back!

Some of you may have noticed something missing from your lives the last couple of days… namely this entire blog! Sorry about that; we’ve been having some server issues here at Simple Tricks and Nonsense. If it’s any consolation to those loyal readers who had to sweat and shudder their way through those uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms, I couldn’t even get into the back-end functions myself. It was as if this place never existed… [Imagine, if you will, the sound of a cold, mournful wind blowing across a vast plain that is alien in its desolation and very, very creepy.]

However, my ever-vigilant webmaster Jack informs me the problem ought to be fixed now and regular bloviation may continue.

    I’m glad to see you’re back! I thought you’d finally had that nervous breakdown . . .

Yours isn’t the only blog giving me problems lately…maybe there’s some sort of conspiracy. I’m sure they’ll blame Bush.
Anyway, it’s good to have you back.

We are in a time warp free fall, clearing in 2 hours 39 minutes. I hope.

I know the feeling! Blogger has completely hosed me these days (when I bother trying to post, it can take up to two days before it actually shows up on the site). And it’s been this way for a couple of months now!
I’m in the process of moving to WordPress (pretty impressive piece of software, by the way). The good news is, I’ll have an entirely new & spiffy looking site when I’m up & running. The bad news is, I’ve been suffering with “Man, that’s a great blog post – D’oh!” for the last two months.
All will be better soon, I assure you… 😉

That sucks about Blogger. Wonder what the heck happened to it? Seems like it’s one of the major blogging platforms out there. A lot of folks use it…
It is kind of funny how this brief break away has been both restful (ah, I’m free of the compulsion to feed the gaping, never-satiated maw) and really, really disconcerting (Gah! What if my readers go away?). Kind of like losing a security blankie, in a weird sort of way…
