Which Superhero Am I?

Hi, kids! Long time, no blog. Things have been hectic since the changeover to the new server. I am working on a couple of entries that I’ll hopefully be able to finish and post later today, but in the meantime, and in honor of tonight’s opening of Superman Returns, here are my results for the latest Internet quiz, “Which Superhero am I?”

I don’t know about the “great power and responsibility” bit — unless you count my ability to hold up production on advertising materials because of a misplaced comma — but I’ll buy the rest of it. I may not be able to climb walls and swing through the concrete canyons of Manhattan, but I do share Peter Parker’s affection for redheads. Still, I wonder why the quiz didn’t assign me Green Lantern, given that the score is the same? I don’t understand how these things work, I guess…

    Sounds about right… 🙂

No Evil Twin Syndrome here. I’m the Green Lantern. I have no idea who that is!

Green Lantern is actually a pretty cool character — he has a ring and, surprise, a green lantern, and when he charges the ring with the lamp’s green (naturally) energy, he can do pretty much anything — fly, create pseudopods, manipulate matter, all kinds of stuff. In later incarnations of the character, there is an entire Green Lantern Corps of beings from all across the universe who have been recruited by immensely powerful aliens to act as policemen for their respective star systems.
    Details here.

Actually, I notice that you got equal scores for Spiderman and the Green Lantern. Perhaps ETS strikes again after all.

That would be the most logical conclusion… 😉

I’m not sure what ETS is, but it’s almost definitely a rounding thing (Spiderman = 75.4%, Green Lantern = 74.7%, both round to 75%).
Also interesting: they bothered to separate Superman from Supergirl, and Anne got Superman. Have a good time pondering what that means…
And, since I butted my nose in, I felt obligated to take the quiz:
    Spider-Man – 65%
    Superman – 55%
    Robin – 55%
    The Flash – 55%
    Green Lantern – 55%
    Iron Man – 40%
    Supergirl – 35%
    Hulk – 35%
    Wonder Woman – 25%
    Batman – 20%
    Catwoman – 20%

Brian, ETS is “Evil Twin Syndrome,” a long-standing personal joke between Robert and myself. When he and I first met in a study-abroad program some years ago, we were amused to learn that other students in the program had been mistaking us for each other for days, presumably because we superficially resembled each other — we both had beards and leather jackets. As we became friends, we found we had a lot more in common, too, so we came up with the gag that we must’ve been twins separated at birth… but which one was the Evil Twin?
