In case anyone’s curious, the final bid on that Lego attack cruiser was a mere $31,602.00.

Growing up, my favorite thing to do was to build lego models (mostly spaceships and other vehicles) and then throw them down the stairs and see how they broke apart. Then I’d put them together the best I could and do it again. I don’t suppose you would do that with something you bought for $31,602. I sure would like to see it, though.
You’re probably not familiar with the movie “The Fifth Element,” but there’s a recurring line in that one that I think would apply to throwing this model down the stairs:
“Big-badda-boom.”

my problem was we used fire crackers to obtain our big-badda-booms in middle/high school. Not much to put back together, however sure made for some great home movies 🙂

What if the star destroyer came disassembled with an instruction book? That would be more fun than to just get it all in one piece in the mail. How will they mail the thing, anyway?
Cheno: I must’ve been a collector right from the beginning, because I don’t recall that ever detonated, microwaved, dismembered, or otherwise mutilated any of my toys. Guess that’s why I’ve still got them all, eh? 🙂
Robert: I imagine they will send it in a very large box…
