Which Major US City Are You?

Well, so much for all my blather yesterday about how much I love Salt Lake…

Your Score: SEATTLE!

You scored 57% Style, 15% Climate, and 43% Culture!

You are Seattle, Washington. Seattle is the largest city in Washington and the seat of King County. A city of steep hills, Seattle lies in western Washington between two bodies of waterPuget Sound on the west and Lake Washington on the east. Its fine landlocked harbor has made Seattle one of the major ports in the United States. Seattle is the region’s commercial and transportation hub and the center of manufacturing, trade, and finance. Its important diversified industries include aircraft, lumber and forest products, fishing, high technology, food processing, boat building, machinery, fabricated metals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and apparel.

You’re probably very happy that I stuck you in a city where you can get a nice view of the mountains and breathe that fresh, cool air. And the rain won’t get you down either. You are very stylish and you belong in a big city with a bit of a faster pace than say, somewhere in the South or Midwest. I think you’d be quite happy in Seattle where you can do lots of shopping and take in a good bit of culture. You could probably stand to take in more culture than you currently do. Musicals and art shows are good for your soul I say. But you do enjoy nature and maybe sports as well, and you’ve definitely got a good city here.

Portland for me. That doesn’t sound too bad, from what I’ve heard.

Hm, interesting… think we’re both in the mood for some rain and/or decent coffee?

“Oh yes, you’re happy about this. You secretly wanted to get New York, didn’t you?”
    Um….
    NO!!!!!
Been there, done that. I want to go back to Seattle, baby.
And how did I get NYC when I said I hate being outside when it’s 95 degrees?!?
    But, anyway….
I’ll just chalk it up to being classy and cultured and let it go at that.
    Yeah…. That’s it.

I scored higher than 99% on style, climate and culture, apparently.

Well, I’m Washington DC. I guess that’s not too shabby….

    Hartford? HARTFORD?!?!?!?
Clearly something wrong with the test…
    🙁

Forgive my ignorance of desirable East Coast addresses, Brian, but what’s wrong with Hartford? (Connecticut, I assume…)

    I’m half-kidding around, of course.
Hartford is the insurance capital of America. I was there once – about as different as you can be from NYC and still call yourself a city. Tree-lined streets with nothing but insurance company after insurance company all around. Of course, these are the old time insurance companies with the giant, expensive buidlings with the super-cool architecture.
Nice place to visit, but I definitely wouldn’t want to live there (in fact, many consultant friends of mine have lived there for some period of time, and have all had the same general reaction…)
No offense to any Hartford, CT readers out there – just not my cup of tea…

Actually, it sounds something like Salt Lake… aside from all the insurance companies, of course.
