If the Sears Wishbook isn't enough entertainment for you on this long, sunny Friday afternoon, how about this: the immortal William Shatner performing Harry Chapin's "Taxi" in the same melodramatic, spoken-word style that has made his rendition of "Rocket Man" such a classic.

Shatner takes a lot of guff for his "interpretations" of various popular songs, but I actually find some of them -- like this one, for instance -- oddly effective and compelling. But then I am kind of weird...

No apologies necessary, Robert - The Shat's musical stylings are rather an acquired taste. And, as we've already established, I am kind of weird. :)
